About the Seneca County Jail
Originally housing only 62 inmates when it opened in 1994, the facility was later expanded adding an additional 60 beds that create a direct supervision pod and another 40 beds in a dormitory for low level offences, creating a total of 162 beds at full capacity. A few programs are offered including the ability to finish a general education and some religious services. THere is also a commissary for purchases of extra clothing and other necessities, access to make phone calls, and are permitted to have visits with any family and friends who are on their approved visitation list. Visitation: Upon admission there will be one 15 minute visit provided within the first 24 hours, then there are two visits of one hour each visit. Visits are non-contact and can include two adults or one adult and two children. Visiting hours occur on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning at 8am and ending by 9pm with the exact time frame dependent upon the housing unit so it is key to confirm with the inmate before arriving for your visit.
