About the De Baca County Detention Center
Albuquerque, New Mexico has the De Baca County Detention Center for housing all adult inmates who are waiting sentencing or who have been sentenced to less than one year incarceration. Those who are held at the location are able to receive and send mail, to make outgoing phone calls, and can have visits on visiting days. Once an inmate has been booked into the facility they will be required to create a list of people who they want to make phone calls to, and a list of people they would like to have visits from. Each of these will need to be approved by the facility before contact is made, as there are restrictions on who they may have contact with. Anyone who is involved in the same case, who has been recently released from any incarceration, or who is currently incarcerated, are unable to be in contact with the inmate. Visits are available on both weekends and weekdays, and will be based upon the housing assignment of the inmates for what day and time they are available, this can be determined during a phone call with the inmate or to the facility itself.
