About the Burlington County Detention Center
This is a full service facility that houses inmates from their original arrest right to the end of their sentence, with several programs, classes, and resources to improve their experience and promote learning new skills and furthering education. All female inmates have been transferred and are now housed at an alternative facility. Bail can still be posted for female inmates at this facility or at the Atlantic County Jail in Mays Landing. Male inmates remain at this location and will have access to healthcare, mail, commissary purchases, and tablets that are used for both entertainment choices as well as contact with friends and family outside of the facility. Inmates may have their accounts funded through accesscorrections.com to allow them to purchase commissary items, and there is also a kiosk provided at the jail itself for those who prefer to deposit onsite. To create an account and access the use of tablets the website gettingout.com will provide all of the steps and serve as the system that supports that contact. Inmates can make phone or video calls when it fits their schedule without requiring prebooked times, and they are able to access books, movies, music, and messages. Visits are available in person with a mask being worn, and visiting hours run Monday to Saturday on a rotating schedule for which housing unit is on which day with all visits being between 9:30am and 11:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, 3:30pm and 5:30pm, or 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
