Housing up to 110 offenders arrested in Cass County for both misdemeanor and felony arrests as they wait for their trial or sentencing, the Cass County Jail is part of the campus that also contains the law enforcement center and the Sheriff’s Office. It is a collection of brick buildings that are connected in some spaces and not in others, providing a full range of legal services and law enforcement.

There is both an online roster of all inmates and details of their bail, charges, and other information online, and staff have access to details of the same and are able to provide guidance on paying bail or programs when you call them at 402-296-9370.

Many programs are in place to address educational needs and rehabilitation including GED, domestic violence classes, group meetings, church services, and others. Services are also provide including full meals every day, laundry, the ability to work in the jail as an inmate trustee to improve employability and remain busy, cleaning services, each of which provide necessary supports and help to create a positive environment for personal growth.

Inmates are also encouraged to remain in contact with their support system outside of the jail including family members and friends, to both improve their own mental health and to maintain a safer environment within the Cass County Jail.
