Housing both male and female juveniles as they await a detention hearing, adjudication, or after being assigned to the facility as part of their adjudication. Only those who arrive from law enforcement or court order will be admitted. Upon admittance an intake process will include all identify information, charges, and a medical and mental health assessment to determine what services will be required. All medical and dental care will be provided throughout their stay, as well as ongoing educational opportunities for high school, GED, or college credits. Vocational training may be accessible for some residents. Each day will follow a strict schedule including time for self-care and hygiene, recreational time, physical education, school, any chores or tasks and homework, and other programming. Religious services are offered for those who choose to attend. Each resident will practice and gain skills in life skills, social skills, decision making, anger management, life planning, goal setting, and other necessary abilities to prepare them for their return to the community and for their futures. Phones: Phone calls will be made home regularly, and parents and guardians are approved to accept those calls, but any number must be approved by the facility before calls begin. •    Visitors who 'arrive' after the scheduled start time may not be allowed to visit.
•    Clothing must cover all private/sensitive body areas.
•    The visitation schedule may be canceled or altered on holidays or for safety/security reasons.
•    Miller County Juvenile can disconnect, deny, change, or cancel a visit at any time.
•    Internet connectivity issues during offsite visits will NOT be refunded.
•    Each visitation session will show a timer to display elapsed time.
