While under the care of the Lincoln County Juvenile Detention Center, all juveniles will receive all meals, laundry, education, recreation, and learning opportunities. Each are housed in housing units that comprise of individual rooms and a common area that is used for social interactions, homework and projects, and recreational time. There are both indoor and outdoor recreational spaces that provide physical activity as well as group and individual activities. A library is accessible, and classrooms are onsite for ongoing education. Life and social skills are also focused on, including anger management, decision making, and goal setting. Mecial and dental professionals provide care for each of the juveniles during their stay, and mental health support is provided in both group and individual settings. Many will see an improvement in school grades due to the one on one attention they receive, and many new skills will develop as they care for themselves and their space, develop responsibility, and take accountability for their actions. GED programs are in place, and those who finish their diploma may access college credits. Substance use or abuse are addressed, and appropriate treatments provided. Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.

Books
The Lincoln County Juvenile allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as AmazonBarnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address noted.
Books must NOT contain images or content that are considered excessively violent, pornographic or obscene. Any book that does not meet the Lincoln County Juvenile standards will be disposed of.
