Robert L. Perry Juvenile Justice Center Information

The Boone County Juvenile Justice Center has two sections, the detention wing for those who are being detained due to delinquency, and the program wing for those who are more involved in programs and treatments. Under the Missouri Juvenile Code, the detention facilities for juveniles must be closer to a home environment than a jail, so the facility is designed to provide care for the youth in an environment that mimics a home or a school. Core standards and the base for the facility is to help provide access to justice for the juveniles, maintain a respectful and responsive environment, follow the orders of the court, follow procedures and ensure they follow all laws and regulations, staying consistent, and providing learning opportunities for the youth while providing trust and confidence to the community. It is staffed around the clock and the safety of the youth, the staff, and the community are of the highest importance. School will be attended onsite throughout the week and will match the needs and grades of the youth who are present. It is mandatory to attend classes and activities. Mail: 5665 N. Roger I.
