Accepting offenders who are arrested throughout Lafayette County on both felony and misdemeanors, the Lafayette County Detention Center maintains a safe and secure environment for rehabilitation and incarceration services both while waiting for a trial as well as during short sentences.

With a main central lobby and wings off to each side that appear windowless from the front, the brick structure offers parking, visiting areas, intake and booking, housing pods, meal service, laundry service, recreational space, mail services, phones, and visits for all inmates.

The medical area provides care for all medical concerns and medications are provided according to their prescriptions.
