The North Crow Group Foster Home is a foster home facility that houses up to 6 female juveniles as needed. It is run by foster parents, and they are responsible for the care and support of each of the youth. Each are provided with a bed, a safe home, and all their basic needs. School is attended at the local public school, and youth are able to attend school events, spend time with their friends, and interact with each other. While at the facility all needed medical, dental, mental health, and social needs are met, with a focus on developing new life skills and improving social skills. Youth are coached in decision making and treated for any substance use or other concerns. They may attend appointments with their regular physician or access medical care from a local doctor. Housing youth in a foster home provides a home environment to nurture their strengths and encourage their development of skills and personal growth. It is a safe environment that is used for youth who require a safe home for a temporary or long term basis, allowing for them to avoid abuse or to prevent them from being in an environment that is unsafe or encourages delinquency.
