Meeting the needs for minimum, medium, and maximum security, there are two types of supervision used. Medium and maximum housing units have direct supervision, which sees officers in the housing units and interacting with inmates throughout their shift, while minimum security and work release housing units are dormitory style and have remote supervision based in a security center or master control room that overlooks the dorms.
Bail can be paid any time during business hours of Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm at the Hubbard County Court House, or it may be paid with exact cash at the HCDC after hours.
Mail is one of the ways in which inmates are encouraged to communicate with their friends and family during incarceration, which has been shown to improve mental health and the safety of the jail. Each piece of mail will be checked for contraband, any money orders will be added to the inmate's commissary account, and the remainder will be scanned and delivered to the inmate digitally.
The address must be correct, and magazines and magazine articles, blank paper or envelopes, stamps, photocopies, or any obscene content will not be permitted. Books may only be paperback, and they must be sent directly from Amazon or their partners.
