This facility provides the housing for all inmates who are nearing the end of the sentence and preparing for return to their community, and those who do not have a serious record and faced lower charges. There is a strong focus on re-entry programming and transitional assistance, with inmates being encouraged to grow life skills that will be vital to their success after release including finding a job, stable housing, and creating an outside support system to help them with their future roadblocks.
Due to its function as a pre-release facility, there are additional requirements for all inmates that include being engaged in all of their classes, increased programming requirements and sessions, active participation in classwork and other responsibilties, additional work assignments, community service requirements, or work release so they are actively employed during the last stages of their sentence.
Staff can be contacted directly at 978-750-1900 x4309 and are able to answer some questions about inmates and their status, though inmates are unable to receive direct calls and will be required to make calls to their loved ones from their own phone accounts from the housing units.
