About the Worcester County Jail

The red brick face of the 415-bed Worcester County Jail announces its presence and provides a safe and secure housing solution for offenders arrested for a felony or a misdemeanor in Worcester County while they wait for their trial and are unable to make bail, or as they serve a short sentence locally.

The jail is located at the end of Joyner Road, which is right off of Public Landing Road, before the interchange of Route 113.

Medical care is provided as needed and will be assessed immediately upon arrival as part of the booking process, along with the provisions for mental health counseling and other supports, and correct housing assignment.

Healthy meals are provided three times each day, along with regular laundry services, space and time for exercise and recreation, along with ways to communicate with those outside of the facility.

To speak to an inmate at Worcester County Jail there are a few options including mail, phone calls, and visits.

A commissary account is also available alongside the phone account, providing an opportunity to fund their commissary and other purchases while also ensuring they are able to make outgoing calls.
