About the Rapides Parish Detention Center II

The Rapides Parish Detention Center II is located in the Rapides Parish Corrections Complex and has a rated capacity of 200 inmates who provide contract labor for Louisiana, Rapides Parish and local public agencies. It holds sentenced inmates; parish prisoners and Department of Corrections offenders, and offenders serving time for municipalities throughout Rapides Parish. It is located on John Allison Drive in the large complex of Rapides Parish jail facilies, which include the Work Release Program and Detention Center 3.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Correction Division is responsible for the care, custody, and control of approximately 1,070 offenders across Rapides Parish. The division is comprised of six separate departments.
