Operated by the Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff, the new 150 bed Pointe Coupee Parish Detention Center houses all offenders, both those who are charged with felony offenses and those charged with misdemeanors, as they wait for their trial and after sentencing for a short period until they are released or transferred.

Offenders can be located through the online portal or by calling the main line of 225-638-5407 to be directed to the facility, bail, and other details for the inmate.

Once an offender has been located at the Pointe Coupee Parish Detention Center they may be supported through the purchase of a commissary package, adding money to their account, or through consistent contact via mail, calls, and visits.
