About the Iberville Parish Jail

Housing up to 120 inmates at any time, both male and female, on misdemeanor or felony charges, the Iberville Parish Jail houses all inmates for {county_extended). In cooperation with and the supervision of the Sheriff’s Department, the building was completed in 1976 and provides a safe and secure location for offenders.

Each inmate will have an assessment upon arrival to determine the best housing assignment, their immediate and ongoing medical needs, a mental health assessment, and will be provided with clothing and bedding for their stay. Each will also have the opportunity to meet bail once it has been determined, and a friend or a family member may pay this bail at the Sheriff’s Office.

If you have questions regarding an inmate or the programs and services provided, the staff can be reached at 225-687-3553, and an online listing of all the detainees is published for your own investigation.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Iberville Parish Jail?

There are two options for putting money on an inmate's books:

Choice 1 - Deposit Inmate Money Online

Iberville Parish Jail uses CommissaryDeposit.com to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Choice 2 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail

Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.

Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.

**Call 225-687-3553 first to ask Iberville Parish Jail if this option is still available.
