Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center Information

Juveniles who are within the Warren Regional Detention Center will be in grades 6 through 12, and they will receive ongoing education with local school boards throughout their detention. Any juvenile can only be detained if they have been arrested on outstanding warrants or from evidence they have committed a crime for which charges would be filed, or if they are waiting transfer for another location after breaking probation or other rules. It is operated through the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice and in cooperation with the local school board all students are able to continue their education on pace with their home school. There are three meals and snacks provided each day, which are created in a nutritionally balanced way for the needs of the juveniles. Staff are present around the clock and security cameras are used to ensure the safety throughout the building, along with staff who interact with the juveniles throughout the day and assist in developing improved social skills. Both academics and life skills are taught to help the youth prepare for their future.
