Built to be self-contained, the jail, located at the corner of Walnut Street and Ohio River Scenic Byway in Madison, Indiana, functions as its own community with a full kitchen, medical staff, laundry, medical care, dental services, and a large intake area.
A full roster of all inmates and their status updates is available online and staff are able to hear concerns about an inmate or their health as well as answer questions about bail and other procedures by calling 812-265-2649.
Family and friends are able to offer support by staying in communication with them as well as adding money to their account which provides access to commissary and other purchases. Commissary deposits are made either at the lobby kiosk or online, and bail can be paid at the front desk.
