Covering an entire city block, the 34 bed Carroll County Jail provides for the full care and control of all offenders on both misdemeanor and felony charges throughout Carroll County. Both pretrial waiting periods and sentences will be served at this jail, with most being present for only a few weeks or months and others with more serious offenses finding they are held for up to a year.

Finding an inmate and their status can be done in two ways, either by accessing the online look up or by calling the Carroll County Jail directly and speaking to one of the officers at 765-564-2413.

This is also how you would share any medical or other concerns about an inmate and arrange drop off for prescription medication if necessary. Prescriptions are the only personal item that may be dropped off at the facility, and they will need to be in original packaging, labelled, and include the dosage and instructions.

Other ways that friends or family are able to offer support to their loved ones during incarceration are by writing correspondence, accepting their phone calls, providing for money for their phone calls and commissary purchases, and by engaging in visits.

A money order may be dropped off at the jail directly, in person or via mail, at any time of day.

All mail must be through the USPS and will not be accepted otherwise, sent to the correct address with inmate first and last legal name (and no nicknames), with a complete return address. Each letter will be checked for contraband both before leaving the jail as well as upon arrival. Letters will be checked for more than 5 pictures, as well as each picture being checked for inappropriate content, colored pencils and crayons or markers are not permitted for use in creating art to send to an inmate, no stickers, glue, string, or other additions are permitted, and soft cover books may be sent direct from a publisher only.

All personal mail is sent to:

Inmate's Full Name & Inmate ID #
Carroll County Jail
310 W Main St.
Delphi, IN 46923

Staff will open each piece and look for contraband, which is removed before it is given to the inmate.

Legal mail, money orders, books and newspaper and magazine subscriptions are mailed to:

Inmate's Full Name & Inmate ID #
Carroll County Jail
310 W Main St.
Delphi, IN 46923

Collect and prepaid calls can be made from phones in the common areas of housing units, and to provide money for these calls family and friends are able to load calling cards online or through the kiosk that can be found in the lobby of the jail.

Visits may be attended at the visiting stations in the jail for those who are unable to access from home or via remote visits. Both require scheduling in advance through an online account which can be created remotely from any internet enabled device or in the jail lobby.
