Along with the indoor spaces it provides the inmate a fenced yard for access to the outdoors during recreational time.
It is the Randolph County Jail that provides detention services for all Randolph County offenders, both as they wait for their trial and if they are serving a short sentence that will see them released in under one year, either on a misdemeanor or felony charge, and it falls under the responsibility of the Corrections Department under the Sheriff’s Office.
This facility uses an RFID system which monitors each inmate with a tracking device that is worn on their person at all times to follow the movements of inmates, ensure they are where they are intended to be, and for the safety of inmates and staff around the clock.
