Daytona Juvenile Residential Facility is a housing facility for male juvenile offenders who are considered to be high risk. Those who are housed here have been determined by a court to require the high risk, sex offender treatment program that is present at this location. It has a top capacity of 33 juveniles and accepts males aged 13 to 18 only, and each individual is presented with a set of goals for their rehabilitation and a program that is individual to them. Only through achieving the goals set and finishing their program and treatments can they secure their release, and there is no average stay or length of time that this takes as it varies so drastically by individual. A Type 3 program is present, and all academic main subjects are provided including English, math, science, social studies, reading, along with career supports, technical classes, GED tests are offered onsite. Vocational and career ideas are discussed, and opportunities are provided to develop new life skills, social skills, and employable skills. Youth will learn responsibility and accountability as well as develop better discipline by staying on their program and attending each part of their treatment.
