Zebulan Pike Youth Services Center Information

Housing up to 27 young offenders, both male and female, who are arrested in the Souther Region of Colorado, the Zebulan Pike Youth Services Center operates around the clock throughout the year. Youth who find themselves residing here will be waiting for their court hearing or they will have been sentenced to less than 45 days of incarceration. Longer sentences will result in a transfer to an alternative facility that can better meet the needs of a long term resident. Before their stay begins, a risk assessment is completed to determine what services and programs will result in the best results for each individual youth. Each of the residents will be between the ages of 10 and 17, with those younger not being sentenced to detention and those over 17 serving in adult facilities. GED classes are provided, as well as appropriate work for the grade that the student attends in the public school system, and both basic education and vocational skills are taught throughout the year. Mental health support is offered for any substance use concerns, learning delays, and concerns such as anxiety, anger management, and counselling. Mail: 1427 West Rio Grande St. Colorado Springs, CO 80905 Phones: Phones are accessible at least twice each month for youth to make or receive phone calls from their immediate fami8ly, legal guardians, foster parents, or custodians.
