With 68 beds, this facility is the main housing and holding facility for young offenders who are arrested within the county. They may be arrested on new charges or for breaking the rules of their probation, and they will be held in the facility until the court determines if they should be released, held until trial, or if they will be sentenced to the facility. The local school board provides classes during the weekdays so that all youth are able to maintain their regular classes during their stay, and they are also provided with physical education, art classes, heatlh classes, and other educational opportunities. Other programs such as planned parenthood, life skills, parenting classes, counseling, substance abuse treatments, and many more are offered to assist the residents in learning new skills that will help them to be successful within their community.
