About the Antioch Jail
The Antioch Jail in California is a medium security detention center located at 300 “L” Street, Antioch, CA, 94509 with a daily average of 30 inmates. It was built to accommodate 13 inmates and can hold up to adult inmates over the age of 18 who have already been convicted of a crime under California law. Inmates can get up to one visit a day with a maximum of two visits, each lasting fifteen minutes. The best way to locate an inmate is to know the full legal name and date of birth and call either 925-779-6907 or 925-646-4496. Visitation hours at the Antioch Jail in California are Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. Two people can visit at one time for up to 15 minutes. Antioch Jail in California houses inmates who have been arrested or cited and requires all visitors to be screened by a full body scanner. In April 2023, the California Department of Corrections expedited the release of almost 3,500 incarcerated persons serving a sentence for non-violent offenses. The death of an inmate in a county jail housing unit is currently under investigation. Antioch Jail in California is unique in that it houses both adult male and female offenders, has a minimum security level, and offers inmates access to commissary accounts, visitation, and mail services. Inmates range from low level misdemeanor offenders to those being held and awaiting trial for violent crimes such as robbery, rape, and murder. The jail has approximately 600 bookings per year with a daily average of 30 inmates. Visitation is allowed any day between 10am-8pm for up to 15 minutes with two people at a time.
