Crittenden County Juvenile Detention Center Information

The Crittenden County Juvenile Detention Center is located within the same building as the adult jail for the county. This allows for staff to be trained and able to work in either side, though the adult inmates and the juvenile offenders remain separated at all times and do not share space within the building. While they are within the facility there are classes for obtaining a GED, and schoolwork is provided to keep up to date with their classmates who are in the public school system, treatment for any addictions or substance abuse concerns, mental health counselling, and classes to further their skills as well as integration programs to assist in reintegrating to their community when their sentence is over. Each of these programs is intended to provide the best opportunity for success after their release. Contact with family is maintained through mail that is sent and delivered by the US Postal Service and all incoming and outgoing mail is inspected for contraband.
