It was built in 1929 and has since been developed to improve its size, appearance and capacity, now able to hold up to 90 inmates. The monthly average of total bookings is 77 and the facility is supervised by 84 staff members. It has a unique mission of providing a safe, secure and humane environment for both officers and inmates and discouraging sexual offenses such as rape and sexual harassment. Visitation at the Cleburne County Detention Center is on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and visitors must be put on the inmate's visitation list and show ID when they arrive.
