It is at the {facility_name-_1} that all of those arrested for misdemeanor or felony charges in Carroll County will be detained until they make bond, have their court date, or as they serve a sentence which will most often fall under one year. Once the bond amount has been set it can be determined by contacting the facility at 870-423-2901 or by accessing the online look up for current inmates including their charges and bond amounts. It may then be paid by cash at the jail during the regular business hours, and the release of the inmate occurs shortly after their bond is paid.

Some personal items are approved for drop off for their use including: 7 pairs of socks, 7 pairs of underwear, 7 shirts, and 4 bras. Items may be dropped off only once every 3 months, and if there are overages in their belongings the extra new items may be donated for indigent inmates. Additionally, items may be purchased from the jail itself.

Money may be added to the account of an inmate to support those purchases along with other commissary purchases by adding money at the kiosk that is located in the lobby or through the online access.

Both NA/AA and GED programs are in place and can be accessed by any inmate who chooses, as well as those who are sentenced to engage in the programs from the court, and these work towards rehabilitation and successful reintegration to the community. Along with these basic needs, inmates will have access to all medical care and additional mental health supports, healthy meals three times each day, commissary for supplementing meals and clothing, phone access, visits, and recreational activities.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Carroll County Detention Center?

There are three choices for putting money on an inmate's books:

Choice 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail

Bring money to the jail in person.

Jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment.

Carroll County Detention Center has a Tiger Kiosk in the Lobby that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

If you can't get your questions answered online call the Carroll County Detention Center at 870-423-2901.

Choice 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online

Carroll County Detention Center and others often use a private company to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Go to the online site for depositing funds. You will need to register an account, which is free to do and use a debit/credit card for the deposits.

Choice 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail

Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.

Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.

Call Carroll County Detention Center at 870-423-2901 to confirm the address to send the money order to and how they want it made out.

Failure to do this properly will delay your inmate getting his account credited and may require you to have to resubmit a second money order.

Call 870-423-2901 to ask facility personnel who to make the money order out to, and where to send it.
