Apache County Juvenile Detention Center

Search for an Inmate in Apache County

Apache County Juvenile Detention Center Information

In 2015 this 11 bed facility was closed due to the low number of juvenile offenders who were housed there. The county then began to search for alternative counties to house their youth offenders, and has since found one that allows these youth to remain close to their community while also meeting the budget needs of the county. In the wake of the closure, the goal moved to preventing youth from becoming juvenile offenders to begin with, and the site has been renovated and turned into a Teen Center. This center provides a safe space for youth to spend time, socialize, and continue to learn outside of the classroom. It offers a distraction and safe activities that prevent teens and youth from becoming bored or searching for things to do that result in criminal activity.
