The new 152-bed Pike County Jail opened in August 2023 and it is found in the same building, the Pike County Judicial Center, as the courthouse and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
Single occupancy cells house maximum security, while other pods house medium or minimum security inmates, providing full safety and security for all of the offenders arrested on misdemeanor or felony charges throughout the county.

The new Pike County Jail was designed with increased capacity, the ability to expand as needed, tunnels to the courtrooms to limit transportation, laundry and a kitchen to meet the basic needs of inmates, a medical and dental area for treatments, and mental health and substance use treatments.
