• People posting bail must bring cash for the exact amount of the bail required to the after hours Benton County Jail entrance.  This entrance is located to the left of the mail jail lobby entrance. 
• You can also contact a bail bond company for this purpose if the case qualifies for a bond.   Assuming all other conditions of release have been satisfied it usually takes between 1-2 hours for the inmate to be released once bail has been paid.

The Benton County Sheriff also recommends that you consider using a bail bond agent licensed to do business in Benton County.

You can pay a cash bond yourself, or use your home in Benton County, or in some cases the state of Washington, but the benefit of using a bail bond agent is that they take responsibility for making sure the inmate shows up for court in Benton County, and if they don't, then they take the responsibility.

News, special interest or sports magazines may also be mailed to an inmate as long as they are shipped directly from the publisher. Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.

Books
