About the Chelan County Regional Jail

Located in Wenatchee, the Chelan County Regional Jail offers housing to a maximum of 267 inmates at any one time. It is a regional jail that also houses inmates from Douglas County.

Staff here also facilitate the work release program, volunteer inmate program, alcohol monitoring, and electronic home monitoring programs. There are several other programs including counseling, addictions treatment, educational programs, and planning for a successful release are in place that are accessible to all inmates.  

As part of the care provided all basic needs are met including health care and medical needs and mental health support. Nutritional meals are provided throughout each day, clean laundry is provided, and recreational, learning, and exercise opportunities are present.

Religious programming is available for those who wish to attend, and who attend outside of incarceration so they may maintain their spiritual support system.

For home monitoring a monitor is placed within the home and all movements are monitored remotely, and work release allows qualified inmates to go to work each day and return to their assigned housing each night. Deposits can be made to inmate accounts at the kiosk in the lobby, or online.

Deposits to the phone accounts can be made at the kiosk in the lobby or online. Only outgoing calls can be made, during the daytime hours around meals.

How Do You Visit an Inmate in the Chelan County Regional Jail? What is the Schedule?

In-person visitations at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center are only allowed from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. The incarcerated are allowed only one visit a week (the week consists of Wednesday and Saturday).

Wednesday Visitation: Appointments for Wednesday in-person visitation must be scheduled between 10 and 11 a.m. on the same day of your requested visit.

Saturday Visitation: Appointments for Saturday visitation must be scheduled on the Fridays prior to the Saturday you plan to visit. Appointments can be scheduled only from 10 to 11 a.m.

All appointment times are on a first-come, first-served basis until appointment slots are full. Appointments cannot be made in person.

Prepaid calls (Direct Calls)
With Prepaid Calls you can set up your account so that the inmate can only call you and/or you can just deposit money in their account and they can purchase prepaid phone cards through their commissary and call whoever they choose, provided the Chelan County Regional Jail approves of the phone number.

Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.

Books
The Chelan County Regional Jail allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as AmazonBarnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address noted.
