About the Kewaunee County Jail

The Kewaunee County Public Safety Building is the home of the 35 bed Kewaunee County Jail and it shares a campus with the Court Reporter, Sheriff's Office and Court Clerk. Each of the buildings is situated around a shared parking lot and provides legal services for the county. Offenders from all over Kewaunee County will be booked through this jail after arrest, both for a misdemeanor and for a felony, and will remain as they await bail, trial, or serve a short sentence.

To meet the needs of the community there are three classifications for inmate, minimum security, medium security, and maximum security.

To determine the location of an inmate the jail can be contacted directly by calling 920-388-7108, or the online roster may be accessed.

Bail may be paid through the Sheriff’s Office at any time, with cash, credit or debit, or money order only.

Those who are unable to make bail or do not qualify for bail will remain at the jail until their trial and they will have access to a money account for commissary and other purchases, which is funded by any friends and family who are outside of the jail, through the kiosk that is located in the lobby or through the online access.

Commissary purchases may also be made online and will be delivered directly to the jail with the weekly commissary purchases

 A work release, or Huber, program is also available through the Kewaunee County Jail and all paperwork must be completed and turned in at least 2 weeks before the reporting date. This program allows qualified and approved inmates who have outside employment to continue attending their work shifts and then return to the jail afterwards.

Any mail that is delivered to the jail for an inmate is checked for contraband and may not include any illegal or restricted items, adult content, or letter writing supplies.
