About the Johnson County Correctional Facility

The Johnson County Correctional Facility, a county jail that was managed by Lasalle Corrections, and is now back under the control of the Johnson County Sheriff, is an 872 bed jail located at 1800 Ridgemar Drive in Cleburne, Texas 76031.  They can be reached 24 hours a day at 817-556-6000. The Johnson County Correctional Facility Official Jail Roster and Inmate Search tool provides the name, SO#, mugshot, address, arresting agency, criminal charges and bond needed to get them out of custody.

The jail itself is a Minimum-Medium-Maximum facility, meant to hold inmates in seaparate areas by their classification. Because it is such a large complex the staff can keep all types of people from the least to most violent offenders separate. The Johnson County Correctional Facility is notable by the large number of bail bond agencies that circle the entranceways, both on Ridgemar and Vantage Drives.

This Johnson County Correctional Facility consisted of two phases and included construction both on a new jail and the renovation of an existing building. Phase 1 consisted of the construction of a new 64,672 SF jail in the housing area and includes intake, processing and release, kitchen, laundry and other support spaces. Phase 2 consisted of the renovation of and existing facility on an active site. The renovation added a new visitation area, added 18 separation cells and modified all single cells. There is so much available bed space that Johnson County recently cut a deal with Coryell County to house a minimum guarantee of 48 of their inmates on an ongoing basis for $100 per day per inmate (($4800) until that county's jail is finished being built. The only problem that Johnson County has, as with all employers lately, is keeping it sufficiently staffed.

The Johnson County Correctional Facility makes visitation by video, both on-site and remotely, online digital messaging and inmate phone calling available by using a third party service owned by ViaPath Technologies via the gettingout.com website. You can even use their service to send money to an inmate either online, by telephone or using a Kiosk in the jail lobby.

Inmate Money Accounts

How Do You Deposit Money for an Inmate in the Johnson County Correctional Facility?

There are four options for putting money on an inmate's books:

Option 1 - Dropping Money at the Jail
Bring money to the jail in person.
Either the jail personnel will process the Inmate Account payment (if it's a money order) or you will use a self-serve kiosk in the lobbies that accepts cash, debit or credit cards.

Option 2 - Deposit Inmate Money Online
Johnson County Correctional Facility and others often use a private company to process all online deposits to an inmate's account. The company charges you a small fee for doing so, but the fee probably isn't as much as gas and parking would cost to take it to the jail in person.

Option 3 - Mail the Inmate Deposit to the Jail
Mailing a deposit takes more time to process than the other methods but can be done if you live too far away to bring it in person and you don't have a debit/credit card for online deposits. Never send cash. Always send a Money Order from the US Post Office, a reputable bank or Western Union.
Make the Money Order out to the inmate's name and put their Inmate ID# in memo section of the Money Order.
