Nassau County Correctional Center falls under the operation of the Nassau County Sheriff, and they are responsible for not only the enforcement of all laws within the area, but also the care and keeping of the inmates and the facility. They manage the staff, meals, medical staff, all medical and court appointments, as well as any programs related to inmates and their personal and professional growth and development and supervising recreational time and visitation. Each inmate is allowed visits with their friends or family, provided they can clear the security clearance and are approved for visitation. Visits are provided five days a week, with two sessions each day, and the day is dependent upon the housing unit of the inmate. Units B and D are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and E have visits on Tuesday and Thursday.
