• On-site Personal Visits are scheduled by telephone appointment. Call 856-769-4300 ext. 7790 on the Wednesday night before your inmate's designated Saturday or Sunday weekend.
• Calls will only be accepted between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. Do not call to try to schedule an appointment days or weeks in advance. 
• The appointments are scheduled in the order the phone calls are received. There are 5 appointments made for each 40 minute time slot.
• Inmates are eligible to receive a personal visit only after they have been incarcerated for a period of ninety (90) days. 
• Inmates are authorized one (1) on-site personal visit per month.
• You must be on your inmate's authorized list.
• There are only five inmates and their visitors during each 40 minute slot.
• On-site visits are on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Visitors allowed per inmate: One or two adults, or two adults and 1 child (under 18), or 1 adult and 2 children (under 18).

Any magazines that contain profanity, weapons, pornography or other content that is adult in nature will be confiscated by the jail staff and will NOT be delivered to the inmate.

Books
The Salem County Correctional Facility allows books to be mailed directly to the jail from a reputable source such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million. You can order them directly from your computer and have them shipped to the inmate at the address noted.
